iREAD State Partner Coordinator Responsibilities & Expectations
Overview
The State Partner Coordinator serves as the designated liaison between the State Library (or any organization purchasing iREAD materials in bulk for use by its designated libraries) and the iREAD team, responsible for ensuring a smooth and coordinated implementation of the iREAD Summer Reading Program across libraries in their respective state. This role requires proactive communication, logistical oversight, and collaborative engagement with both iREAD and participating libraries.
Core Responsibilities
1. Coordination & Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for the state partnership and the iREAD team

Disseminate essential program information to participating libraries, provided by the iREAD team

Ensure libraries are aware of key deadlines, instructions for code redemptions, and available resources and support
2. Resource Guide Codes and/or Purchase Codes Management and Distribution

Submits the request for the number of codes needed by iREAD designated deadlines

Maintains communication and distribution of codes and instructions to participating libraries

Collaborates with the iREAD team on ensuring codes are redeemed properly and by designated deadlines

Ensures iREAD program State Library invoices are paid promptly

Works closely with iREAD support to address any feedback or issues with code access and redemption
3. Program Promotion & Engagement

Maintains an up-to-date webpage on the organization’s website with information about the program, upcoming theme, and contact information

Encourage libraries to participate in the state-specific webinar, as well as any future learning resources provided by iREAD

Collaborate with iREAD to ensure widespread information and engagement with the program is available to libraries in the state
4. Input, Feedback & Support

Coordinate opportunities for libraries to provide input on upcoming themes

Collect, organize, and submit feedback from libraries to iREAD to support future program planning

Participate in a yearly state partner meeting to provide feedback and plan for upcoming years
