Summer 2021: Additional Spanish-Language Graphics
iREAD is always working to improve our summer reading program. Often, improvements are the result of a librarian’s suggestion; after all, iREAD is created “by librarians, for librarians.”
Recently, we received a request for some Spanish-language graphics in addition to the Spanish and English bookmarks and posters we already offer for sale, and we are pleased to offer them for complimentary download here:
Going forward, such graphics will be included in the Resource Guide along with the other reproducible spot art. Please keep in mind the copyright guidelines from the Resource Guide when using iREAD reproducible artwork:
Copyright and Fair Use of iREAD Materials
As a purchaser of the Resource Guide, iREAD allows your library or organization to use the copyrighted art included on the Resource Guide disks to promote your library and your reading program, including the purchase of additional promotional products such as book bags. You may use the art on purchased promotional items, and your library may also resell those items to raise funds for the library and the library’s programs. This permission extends to “Friends of the Library”-type groups associated with your library.
There is no time limit imposed; for instance, if you want to use all, or part of the iREAD program for a Winter Break Reading Program, you may use the art for promotional materials.
However, your vendor does NOT have permission to use the art, or slogan, on anything other than what you are purchasing, and only for sale to your library. The vendor does not have permission to offer these materials to other libraries or use the art to create additional items for sale. In cases like this, we ask libraries to notify vendors that they do not have rights to reuse the art in any form other than what you are ordering.
